The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to make some serious moves this off-season which will involve likely walking away from quite a few players in the off-season.

According to reports, the Blue Jays will likely be saying good bye to at least 5 players from their current roster as changes must be made to improve the team for next year.
The first player that comes as no surprise that will likely not be returning is Bo Bichette, the shortstop is entering the last year of his contract and after an average season filled with injuries, there is a solid chance Toronto looks at trading him in the off-season.
Despite Bo Bichette recently saying he hopes to remain a Blue Jay for his entire career, several other reports throughout the season have suggested otherwise. Often times with this much speculation, where there's smoke, there's fire, and it has certainly cast a doubt over the 26-year-olds future with the organization. -Pankiw

One of the bigger surprises is that the Blue Jays might not bring back reliever Jordan Romano as he enters his final year of arbitration and is likely aiming for a contract around $8 million. The money is not the issue here, it is the fact that Romano has battled a serious injury all season long and might not be ready for next year.
If healthy, it's an easy decision to pay Romano that type of money. The issue is that he battled injury throughout the 2024 season, and wound up undergoing surgery to repair an impingement in his right elbow. -Pankiw

Another player that fans will be sad to see leave is Davis Schneider as he has proven to be a fan favorite in Toronto despite dealing with some serious struggles throughout the year as he finishes the season with a .195 batting average in 132 games.
Finally the Blue Jays are likely to walk away from two reliever, Erik Swanson and Zach Pop, who both had terrible years in the Majors and as the Blue Jays need to desperately improve their bullpen, they will likely get rid of these two.
