The Toronto Blue Jays are still in contract negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr and it looks like despite the team looking to make him their biggest offer yet, he will end up turning it down.

The latest rumors surrounding Guerrero and the Blue Jays suggest that the team is currently putting a $480 million offer offer together to make one final push at trying to land him before the Spring Training deadline.

MLB insider Paul Hembekides believes Vladimir Guerrero Jr will reject the Blue Jays final offer

Guerrero has stated that he wants to stay in Toronto but as the deadline he gave the team inches closer, many believe that he will end up rejecting Toronto's offer as it will not be as high as what he would be able to get in free agency next season.
According to MLB insider Paul Hembekides, he believes that the Blue Jays final offer to Guerrero will simply not be enough to lure him away from free agency and that he will end up rejecting it before Spring Training.
With Guerrero becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of this upcoming season, the Blue Jays have several options, all of which are still possibilities. Paul Hembekides of ESPN thinks Toronto will offer Vladdy a huge extension that he will still turn down and test free agency. -Owens

While Hembekides believes this is what will happen, Kiley McDaniels on the other hand thinks that a deal will get between the two parties prior to the start of the 2025 season.
Kiley McDaniel, also of ESPN predicts that Guerrero will sign a long-term deal to stay in Toronto before the 2025 season even begins. -Owens

If the Blue Jays are serious about their $480 million offer, they might be able to persuade Guerrero to take the deal instead of testing the market since it is quite close to the $500-$550 million he would be able to get in free agency.
As Spring Training is only two weeks away, the Blue Jays need to make a serious push and quickly if their goal is to sign him, if not they need to start placing calls to see who would be interested in a trade.
