New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone finally breaks silence regarding former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman refuses to report to camp.

Stroman has been surrounded by trade rumors ever since the start of the off-season as the Yankees made it clear that they are trying to move him as they no longer have room for him in their starting rotation.

Aaron Boone opens up about former Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman not showing up to Spring Training

The Yankees had pitchers and catchers reported yesterday but one familiar face was not there as pitcher Marcus Stroman decided not to show to the start of Spring Training.
Manager Aaron Boone was asked about the situation by reporters in which he stated that he expected Stroman not to show up to camp in the first few days but expects him to show up soon.
Aaron Boone said he «had an idea» that Marcus Stroman wouldn't show up for workouts these last two days and that he understands «how it looks.» He called it «a little bit of an awkward» situation, but he's talked to Stroman and he expects him in camp in the next few days
Boone also confirmed that Stroman did unfollow the Yankees on social media but that it is nothing worth reading into and that he was simply clearing out some stuff on his instagram.
Aaron Boone tells us here he feels Marcus Stroman situation will be OK even though Stro «unfollowed» the team (update: and isn't in camp quite yet either). Boone on all in full cast
Even if Stroman does end up showing up to Spring Training for the first full squad practice, it looks like his days in New York are numbered as they will likely d everything they can to trade him before the start of the season.\
There were rumors during the off-season that the Blue Jays might be interested in acquiring him but after acquiring Max Scherzer, it seems like that would be a stretch.
