Toronto Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins held a press conference this morning for the start of Spring Training and end up calling out prospect Alan Roden.
Roden is one of the Blue Jays top prospects and actually has a serious chance at making the team which is why many have been wondering if they would use he as a leadoff hitter this season since he is so skilled at the plate.

During a press conference this morning, Atkins spoke with the media about multiple different topics which included the current Vlaidmir Guerrero Jr negotiations.

Atkins also made an interesting remark, calling out prospect Alan Roden stating that the young player has done a ton to put himself in this incredible position and that it is up to him to show in camp that he deserve a spot on this team.

MLB insider Keegan Matheson stated that it is very unusual for Atkins to single out a player like that which must mean he really wants Roden to do well at Spring Training and make this team.
It will be interesting to see how Roden does in camp as he definitely has the skill to make the jump to the majors this season.
