The Toronto Blue over the years have made some big draft picks that turned out to be great like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, but what happened to the other big names that they drafted and ended up on other teams?

There have been a few players that turned out to have huge careers and become superstars that were initially drafted by the Jays, but unfortunately for Toronto they ended up playing elsewhere, but why?

The first notable player that was a top prospect that eneded up leaving Canada's team is third baseman, former MVP and World Series Champion Kris Bryant. Bryant was drafted by the Jays, in the 18th round of the 2010 MLB Draft, but due to him not signing and elected to go to college, the Jays had to give up his rights.
After a tremendous 3 years in college, his draft ranking sky rocketed and the Chicago Cubs ended up taking him 2nd overall in the 2013. With the Cubs, he won the rookie of the year for the national league in 2015 and then topped off that year in 2016 when he was named the NL's Most Valuable Player He also adds 4 All-Star appearances tohis already impressive resume .
Bryant mow holds a career .274 batting average with an .855 OPS, along with 231 doubles, 184 home runs and 547 RBI's in 1043 games across the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs and now the Colorado Rockies.
All in all, even with his recent years of offensive decline, he remains a solid MLB player that was among the best for a run of 6 years. When the Blue Jays were making their runs for the world series, he could have been a major factor in taking them to the next level.
