As the Oakland Athletics played their final game in the Bay area yesterday a ton of stories regarding the team has been coming out including a disgusting one regarding owner John Fisher.

According to reports, during the Covid season in 2020, Fisher attempted to stop paying his minor league players their salary of $400 per week. At this same time, Texas Rangers Shin Shoo Choo gave all 191 minor league Rangers players $1000 to help deal with the financial struggles from that season.
Here's the only John Fisher story you need to remember:

During COVID, John tried to stop paying Minor Leaguers $400 a week

Shin Shoo Choo, Rangers DH, gave all 191 Ranger MiLB players, $1000

A player was more generous than a billionaire owner. Don't forget that.
This shows just how greedy Fisher truly is despite stating that he did everything he could to keep the team in Oakland and did not want to move to Vegas but was forced to do it.
Many reporters have pointed out over the last few days that this move from Oakland comes purely from a point of greed and that all these stories Fisher has been telling the fans are complete lies.
The Oakland A's were killed by greed. Do not allow the people responsible for this to spin it any other way. John Fisher did not have to move this team. Major League Baseball and its owners did not need to be complicit in it. This was a choice. A wrong one. History will sneer.
Clearly baseball fans and especially Athletics ones are not happy with how Fisher has behaved as the owner of the Athletics over the years which is why they begged him to sell the team for years in hopes of salvaging their team in Oakland.
