Yankees outfielder Juan Soto will be a free agent this off-season and after another incredible year, he is likely in line for an outstanding pay raise.
According to recent report it looks like Soto will likely be signing a deal worth around $600 million in the off-season but there has been no update on exactly how long the contract will be.
"I think it's going to be closer to $600 million."
@JonHeyman projects figures for Juan Soto's next contract with @SNJeffBlair . #RepBx
This will make his contract the second largest in MLB history right behind Shohei Ohtani's new deal with the Dodgers that is worth $700 million.
While there is no guarantee that Soto will be returning to New York, they do still have the highest likelihood of signing him this summer. Despite rumors during the season of the Blue Jays being interested, this might end up being another Ohtani situation where Ross Atkins puts all of his focus on this contract and ends up with nothing.
