The Cincinnati Reds broke some major news last night as they has signed Terry Francona to be their manager next season.

The Reds decided to sign Francona after the team parted ways with David Bell after 6 years with the team in which he had a 409-456 record with his best season coming in the shortened season in 2020.
Francona's hiring comes 11 days after the Reds parted ways with David Bell.
In six seasons under Bell, Cincinnati went 409-456 (.473), never finishing above third place in the National League Central outside of the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign (31-29 record, second-place finish).

Francona has now been brought on to replace Bell as the Reds next manager in hopes of turning the team around as he reportedly signed a 3 year deal in Cincinnati but the team has yet to confirm just yet.
The Reds are hiring Terry Francona to be their next manager, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Francona will receive a three-year contract, a source told MLB.com's Mark Sheldon. The club has not confirmed the news, which is expected to be announced Friday.

Cincinnati's newest manager is an incredibly decorated manager as he led the Boston Red Sox to two World Series titles in 2004 and 2007 while also winning AL manager of the year three time with the Cleveland Guardians in 2013, 2016 and 2022.
Francona took this past season off after parting ways with the Guardians in 2023 in which most took as the end of his career but he has surprised a lot of people by returning.
