The New York Yankees announced last month that they would be lending their Spring Training stadium to the Tampa Bay Rays for the 2025 season after Hurricane Milton destroyed the Tropicana Field.
It looks like the
Rays will not be the only team that will be playing out of a minor league stadium this season as the Oakland Athletics will be doing the same according to reports.

The Athletics and Rays are set to both play out of minor league stadiums this MLB season
The
Athletics who have dropped the "Oakland" in their name announced that they would be leaving the bay area for the 2028 season and will be playing out of a minor league stadium in West Sacramento in the meantime.

While commissioner Rob Manfred spoke highly of the two stadiums that the Rays and Athletics will be playing in, fans have questioned the two options, especially in Sacramento since the weather gets extremely hot there in the summer.
Earlier this spring, commissioner Rob Manfred called the minor league parks "intimate" and "charming," real estate euphemisms instantly recognizable to anyone who has looked at too-small houses and apartments. It's not just the size of the ballparks, either. Temperatures in Sacramento regularly climb into the triple digits in the summer -Passan
It will definitely be interesting to see both teams play out of minor league stadiums next season.
