With the Kansas City Royals making a push for the postseason are doing everything they can to get them over the hump and today they claimed Tommy Pham off waiver from the St. Louis Cardinals.
At 36-years-old Tommy Pham will be joining his 9th team when he officially signs with the Royals, which ties Kevin Pillar for current ball players.
Tommy Pham is joining his ninth team, tying him with Kevin Pillar for the most among active position players
Pham was designated for assignment by the Cardinals after hitting .206, 2 homer runs and 12 RBIs in just 23 games for St. Louis due to being delt by the Chicago White Sox at the trade deadline. He hit .266 with 5 long balls and 19 RBIs in 70 games with Chicago.
Hopefully Pham can step his game up and be a solid depth outfielder for the Royals on their playoff run.
