News broke yesterday that the MLB has been informed that Padres second baseman Tucupita Marcano had been betting on Pirate games when he was in Pittsburgh last season.
The MLB decided today that he is officially banned from playing baseball ever again. Reports were also released that Marcano bet over $150,000 throughout multiple bets with only a 4.3% success rate.
MLB announces Tucupita Marcano has been banned from baseball
He bet on 25 Pittsburgh Pirates games while he was assigned to the team, but he was injured during all of them and lost all those bets
He gambled more than $150K on baseball and won just 4.3 percent of his MLB bets
Clearly Marcano was not very good when it came to sports betting and it has now costed him his baseball career.
