After a rough few games for the Toronto Blue Jays, Yusei Kikuchi will be the starting pitcher against the New York Yankees later today in the Bronx.

At 32 years of age, Yusei Kikuchi certainly has a lot of Major League experience. He has played for the Seattle Mariners, as well as the Blue Jays. This is his third season with the Toronto ball club, and fans are hoping for big things. Unfortunately, his first start of the season wasn't great. According to Baseball Reference, he gave up three runs in just over four innings against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Blue Jays then went on to lose this game by a score of 8-2.
Today, the Blue Jays are taking on the Yankees, and according to the team, Kikuchi will be getting the start. Kikuchi is a beloved player within the Blue Jays clubhouse, and fans are certainly happy to watch him play.

The Blue Jays are currently at a record of 3-4, and could use a win. Their offense has been abysmal as of late, and fans are hoping that they can turn things around, and fast. At this point in the season, they cannot continue to get shut out and give up no-hitters. Friday will be a jumping off point that could very well point towards a turnaround.
If you are hoping to catch the game, you will be able to do so as of 1 PM Eastern Standard Time. The match will be broadcast on Sportsnet if you live in Canada.
