Vladimir Guerrero issues statement regarding rumors of the Blue Jays moving on from him

Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero has been surrounded by rumors all season long as he enters the final season of his contract in 2025.
At the trade deadline, many thought the Blue Jays would be moving him despite management stating they had no such plan. Guerrero spoke to reporters yesterday on how he felt regarding these rumors stating that he knows that the team wants to keep him in Toronto and was never going to move him.
"I knew they weren't going to, I'm the type of person who feels if a team has the thought of staying with you, has the thought of having you for many years, they would never think of trading you. If they have long-term plans with you, they're going to stick with you."

Guerrero has made it clear that he wants to spend his entire career in Toronto and does not want to play for another team. He also clearly seems confident that a deal will get done sometime soon keeping him in Toronto.
