Trade offer announced sending Toronto Blue Jays Davis Schneider to rival

The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be willing to try anything to shake things up this off-season including trading Davis Schneider to the New York Yankees apparently.
The Blue Jays are still in need of adding a pitcher to their starting rotation and it looks like they might have found a trade partner in the New York Yankees who would be interested in Davis Schneider.

The Blue Jays have been looking at all kinds of possibilities this off-season even though they have yet to pull the trigger on anything it looks like a trade with the Yankees for Davis Schneider could be possible.
According to MLB reporter Zachary D. Rymer, the Blue Jays could be interested in trading Schneider in exchange for pitcher Marcus Stroman and catcher/first baseman Ben Rice.

Yankees receive: second baseman Davis Schneider -Mohammed

Rymer believes that trading for Stroman could potentially end up being a solid move for the Blue Jays rotation if he improves from last season and adding Rice would be great as he could potentially replace Vladimir Guerrero Jr if they lose him.
"Reuniting with Stroman, who was with Toronto between 2014 and 2019, wouldn't quite make up for that whiff. But this would be another case of improvement in the aggregate, as a rotation with Kevin Gausman, José Berr�os, Chris Bassitt and Bowden Francis could do damage. Rice, meanwhile, would join Will Wagner as candidates to DH in 2025 and potentially take over for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in 2026." -Rymer
Rice struggled in the 50 games he saw last season with 7 homeruns and 23 RBIs in 50 games with a .171 batting average and .2644on base percentage but did show a lot of promise for a 25 year old.
This could be an interesting trade for the Blue Jays but it could go either way, if Schneider excels in New York they will look terrible but if he does not get better while Rice and Stroman play great, Ross Atkins could look like a genius.
