The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking at different options for their outfielder as they have no one to pair with George Springer and Daulton Varsho but it looks like they are interested in free agent Alex Verdugo.
The Blue Jays are in a strange place right now as they have not signed anyone since late December which was Ali Sanchez to a minor league deal but seem to be interested in everyone on the market.

The Blue Jays are still looking for an outfielder and while their top option is Anthony Santander, they might look to pick up a second outfielder and have Santander is the DH position.

According to reports, the Blue Jays along with a few other teams are interested in former New York Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo as the free agent market has very few stars left.
With that as the backdrop, Chris Cotillo of MassLive reported Tuesday that the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays were all interested in outfielder Alex Verdugo. Cotillo called the Pirates "a team to watch" in his pursuit. -Polacek
While Verdugo has put up solid numbers defensively over the last two season with 9 defensive runs saved in 2023 and 8 in 2024 with the Yankees, it has been his offense that has struggled.
He also impressed in that role and posted eight defensive runs saved above average in left in 2024, per FanGraphs. That effort came after he tallied nine defensive runs saved above average as a right fielder in 2023 for the Boston Red Sox. -Polacek
The Blue Jays are looking to add an outfielder that can also help offensively but if they land Verdugo and Anthony Santander then it might be worth it to add a solid defensive outfielder.
While there are some interesting aspects to adding Verdugo, this might not be worth it for the Blue Jays.
