The Toronto Blue Jays have more trouble headed their way with Vladimir Guerrero Jr but this time it is not related to his contract extension as the arbitration deadline is tomorrow at 1PM.

The Blue Jays and Guerrero seem to be on very different pages lately as they cannot seem to agree on a number for a contract extension as Guerrero is looking for at least $450 million and the Blue Jays do not feel he is worth that much.

The Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr has more issues coming with the arbitration deadline tomorrow

The Blue Jays cannot seem to see eye to eye with Guerrero on how much he is worth and now they will need to agree on a price for his contract for the 2025 season by 1PM tomorrow or they will head to arbitration.
By Thursday evening, it'll be clear whether the Toronto Blue Jays have avoided a second consecutive arbitration hearing with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. or whether the two sides are again unable to agree on how much he should get paid. -Nicholson-Smith

The Blue Jays are looking to avoid going to arbitration for the second year in a row with Guerrero but if they cannot agree on a price by 1PM tomorrow, they will have to face a panel of three independent arbitrators.
Anyone who doesn't sign by 1 p.m. ET must exchange figures with their team, and a panel of three independent arbitrators will later choose the submitted salary that they deem more appropriate, based on player performance and past precedent (there's no in between; baseball arbitrators can't choose a midpoint). -Nicholson-Smith

Last year, Ross Atkins once again tried to land Guerrero on a bargain deal offering him $18.05 million but in arbitration he landed a $19.9 million deal.
A year ago, the Blue Jays weren't aligned with Guerrero Jr., who won his arbitration case and earned a salary of $19.9 million, instead of the $18.05 million offered by the club. -Nicholson-Smith

The Blue Jays should look into giving Guerrero how much he wants and avoiding arbitration as it would likely help them in their negotiations for his contract extension.
