Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jose Berrios' foundation, La Makina foundation, teamed up with Jays Care this season on the El Dream initiative and the results have finally been announced.
Berrios is loved in the city of Toronto for his consistent and incredible play on the field but he is also loved for all the work he does off of it making a point to use his platform for those in need.
This season, Berrios' foundation team up with Jays Care Foundation to create the El Dream initiative which helps the youth develop life skills through baseball in Berrios home of Puerto Rico and in Canada as well
El Dream announced yesterday that the foundation was able to raise $340,000 which will go to helping the youth in Puerto Rico and all over Canada.

Thank you
@JOLaMaKina
and La Makina Foundation for teaming up with Jays Care on the El Dream initiative this season. El Dream has raised more than $340,000 to help youth develop life skills through baseball in José's home of Puerto Rico and his adopted home in Canada
Berrios has proven time and time again how great he has been for the Blue Jays organization on and off the field as he continues to help those in need in any way he can.
As the Blue Jays have a ton of young players in their lineup, hopefully many of them follow in his footsteps as there is no such thing as too many kind people in this world and the city of Toronto can only benefit from having more people like this.
The two organizations will likely be continuing El Dream next season after such an incredible first year.
