The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be going through quite the purge of their coaching staff since the season ended as TJ Burton has now left the team as well.

Burton has a big role within the team regarding amateur baseball as he took care of the Canadian Futures showcase and is also a former player as he played 9 years in the minor league between Cleveland and Houston.
Burton's role inside the Jays' organization was running programs for amateur baseball, such as the annual Canadian Futures Showcase. Burton, who is an Ottawa native, was selected in the 18th round in the 2001 draft by Cleveland. In total, Burton spent nine seasons pitching in the minor leagues, seven seasons with Cleveland, and two seasons with the Houston Astros in 2009 and 2010. Moreover, he represented Canada at the 2008 Olympics and the 2009 World Baseball Classic.- Delaney

Sportsnet reporter Shi Davidi announced last night that Burton had his final day with the organization on Friday as he departed to take on a role with the Ottawa Nepean Canadians.
TJ Burton has left the Blue Jays (final day was Friday) to take over as executive director of the Ottawa Nepean Canadians.

The former national team pitcher ran the Blue Jays' amateur baseball programs, including Canadian Futures Showcase, making an impact across the country.
All of these coaching changes seems strange since the Blue Jays have decided to move on from a ton of coaches this off-season but none of which make real decisions. Fans have seen many coaches fired but manager John Schneider, general manager Ross Atkins and CEO Mark Shapiro still remain.
