Toronto Blue Jays rookie Alan Roden has made quite a name for himself in Spring Training and it looks like it has continued into the season after he made an insane catch against the Baltimore Orioles.

Roden played in his first MLB game on Opening Day Thursday afternoon against the Orioles and got his first MLB hit as he finished with 1 hit in 2 at bats for a .500 batting average on the day.

Blue Jays rookie Alan Roden has unbelievable diving catch against the Orioles

The Blue Jays took on the Orioles last night looking to bounce back from a terrible 12-2 loss on Opening Day as they sent their ace Kevin Gausman to the mound looking to walk away from the game .500.
In the second inning of the game, Roden had a play that made him look like a seasoned veteran as he tracked down a ball in the outfield and made an insane diving catch.

What an incredible diving catch by Alan Roden in left field.

He's going to make it hard for John Schneider to keep him out of the lineup. #BlueJays
While the sample size on Roden is still small, he is making it very hard for the Blue Jays to pull him him from the starting lineup if he continues to play this way.
Not only did Roden get it done defensively but he also got his first career RBI which almost ended up being a Grand Slam but ended up being a sac fly.
Alan Roden just missed that one, but he hit it deep enough to bring in the tying run on the sac fly.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was shouting and waving his arms to get the ball back for Roden's first career RBI (he did). #BlueJays
