The Toronto Blue Jays have missed out on almost all of their free agents targets and some believe that it is somehow not general manager Ross Atkins' fault.
Some believe that the Blue Jays missing out on free agents is not Ross Atkins' fault
The Blue Jays have been linked to almost every singly solid players in free agency this off-season but failed to get a single one of those players to sign in Toronto even with them having the highest offer on the table.
Some believe that Atkins is not at fault since he made a real offer to these free agents and they ended up picking another team which is apparently not his fault even if it is his job to make Toronto an attractive destination.
«Jays offered more You can't blame Ross for this he didn't wanna come here»
Yes I can blame Ross. It's his job to make the blue jays an attractive destination. He hasn't done that, he's made a team so unattractive multiple players have taken less money to not play for them.
As the GM of the Blue Jays, Atkins has to make free agents the right offer to bring them in but also has to make them see that Toronto is the right destination which he has clearly failed at.
Once again Atkins has proved that he is not the man for the job yet he is still running things as Rogers refuses to find someone else that might actually give the Blue Jays a real chance.
Clearly no matter how much the Blue Jays offer, the top free agents are not interested in coming to Toronto with how things are currently being run.
