The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking for their top hitter to add this off-season and MLB insider Jon Heyman has named them as one of the top teams to land free agent Pete Alonso.
The Blue Jays have missed out on a ton of their top free agent targets this winter, the latest being pitcher Corbin Burnes who just signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks two days ago.

Free agent Pete Alonso is still looking for a new contract for the 2025 season and MLB insider Jon Heyman believes that the Blue Jays are one of the top teams to land him.
However, Heyman did state that the Blue Jays are far from the only team interested in Alonso as the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners and New York Mets are all interested in the all-star first baseman.
The Toronto Blue Jays have been linked to one of the best remaining sluggers in free agency.

If the Blue Jays are able to land both Alonso and Anthony Santander by some miracle, their off-season will be saved after they missed out on pretty much everyone else.
Alonso is coming off a great season in New York where he finished with 34 homeruns, 88 RBIs, a .240 batting average and .329 on base percentage which would be great for the Blue Jays offense.
