The Toronto Blue Jays are have one of the worst farm systems in the MLB but still have some solid prospects including shortstop Arjun Nimmala who they have high expectations for this upcoming season.

The Blue Jays were able to pick up a few solid young prospects at the trade deadline in 2024 which helped their farm system but their best prospects are still Nimmala, Trey Yesavage, Orelvis Martinez and Ricky Tiedemann.

The Blue Jays have some big changes coming to their prospect pipeline this upcoming season

The top prospect heading into the 2024 season was pitcher Ricky Tiedemann but after needing season ending Tommy John surgery he has unfortunately dropped in the rankings.
Shortstop Arjun Nimmala is currently the Blue Jays number 5 top prospect but most believe that he will jump to number 1 this season surpassing, Tiedemann, Orelvis Martinez, Trey Yesavage and Jake Bloss.
Currently ranked the No. 5 prospect in the organization by MLB.com, the outlet predicts that he'll be the No. 1 prospect in the organization by this time next year. They clearly think the other top four (Trey Yesavage, Orelvis Martinez, Jake Bloss and Ricky Tiedemann) will make the majors this year or will be passed by Nimmala. -Farkas

Nimmala split his time during the 2024 season between the Florida Complex League Blue Jays and the Dunedin Blue Jays in single-A in which he proved he could be a great two way player.
After an early-season slump and time on the development list, Nimmala slashed .265/.331/.564 with 13 homers in his final 53 games as an 18-year-old in Single-A. -Farkas

While the chances of him making a major league appearance next year are slim to none, he could end up getting a call up to either double-A or triple-A which could line him up for a promotion in 2026.
According to multiple reports, Nimmala could end up being a generational player for the Blue Jays in he continue to progress the way he has been.
