Despite being a tough offseason for the Toronto Blue Jays, the organization released their list of 22 international free agents who come from six different countries.

OFFICIAL: We've signed the following 22 International Free Agents.

The Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba and the Netherlands were the countries who provided the Blue Jays these prospects. Leading the pack is shortstop Cristopher Polanco from the Dominican Republic who is ranked 22nd from MLB.com 2025 international prospect rankings.

Blue Jays had 8 million in spending to attract free agents

The Blue Jays had attempted to lock in and sign Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki As the organization was in the final two against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Sasaki shows to sign with the West Coast team which was a bitter disappointment for the organization and the fan base as the Blue Jays had struck out yet again with these high-prized free agents.
OFFICIAL: We've acquired OF Myles Straw, cash, and international bonus signing pool space for the 2025 period from the Guardians in exchange for a player to be named later or cash.

A few weeks back, they made a trade with the Cleveland Guardians to acquire $2 million in cap space to help with their international free agency by accepting outfielder Myles Straw as part of the package.
Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins made the most of this deal as the Blue Jays had $8.261 million to spend.

With the recent signing of Anthony Santander, Atkins is attempting to lock in several
other free agents including former New York Mets Pete Alonso.
There are still several free agents on the market that are worth looking at and adding a player like Alonso and Alex Bregman would give the Jays a much stronger offense so that it can compete with the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros.
The #BlueJays have agreed to terms with free-agent OF Anthony Santander, per @jonmorosi

The fan base will need to wait and see on how the Blue Jays will bolster the lineup as spring training is around the corner and Opening Day will be on April 1st.
