Reports have confirmed that talks between free agent shortstop Ha-Seong Kim and the Toronto Blue Jays are heating which has been confirmed by his agent Scott Boras.
The Blue Jays are looking for some help in the infield as they have a ton of players but none that are true MLB starters apart from Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero which makes things interesting since Kim plays shortstop like Bichette.

«according to agent Scott Boras. As expected, the Blue Jays have some interest in [Ha-Seong] Kim and Gleyber Torres as they survey infield options.»
There interesting part of this is that the Blue Jays would likely have Kim move to second base since they have announced that they plan on keeping Bichette and Kim has more experience at second base even if he is considered a better shortstop than Bichette.
If the Blue Jays don't add a corner outfielder, the next most likely position they'll upgrade is second base, so it's worth noting that Ha-Seong Kim's expected to be fully recovered from shoulder surgery early in 2025, according to agent Scott Boras. This makes for an interesting situation since even though Bichette might start the season at shortstop, if they end up signing Kim, he could end up taking Bichette's place if he starts off the season as he did last year.
