The Phillies have hired former Blue Jays Adam Lind as a new hitting coach
The Phillies announced a few days ago that they have officially hired former Blue Jays Silver Slugger winner Adam Lind as their new hitting coach for their Triple-A affiliate team, the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.
Former Toronto Blue Jays OF/DH Adam Lind has been named the hitting coach of the Philadelphia Phillies' triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
This is a solid move by the Phillies as Lind was an incredible hitter during his career as he hit over 20 homeruns multiple times and even hit 35 homeruns in 2009 with the Blue Jays.
Lind spent the majority of his career with the Blue Jays as he was drafted in the third round of the 2004 MLB draft by the Blue Jays and went on to play for them from 2006 until 2014.
Lind's career came to an end in 2017 when he signed with the
Washington Nationals in which he hit 14 homeruns and 59 RBIs but was unable to get another chance in the MLB despite signing a few minor league deals.
Now, Lind will be beginning a new chapter in his career as this will be his first coaching job almost 9 years after retiring.
