Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins is in the hot seat as it has been reported by multiple sources that he will be fired if the Blue Jays do not make the playoffs.
While the Blue Jays might look internally and make current VP James Click the GM in Toronto their is also another great option. The Cardinals current advisor to the president of baseball operations, Chaim Bloom.
The Blue Jays next GM should be Chaim Bloom.
Has experience in a big market with big payroll. Has a solid track record in the draft and acquiring talent from other organizations. Was able to get Devers signed. Would be exactly what Toronto needs to lead team moving forward.
Bloom has had an impressive career at such a young age as he helped the Rays achieve incredible season despite having one of the lowest payrolls in the MLB between 2005-2019. Bloom has also experienced dealing with big payrolls as he was part of the Red Sox organization for 4 years from 2019-2023.
While Click would also be a great choice, looking outside the organization might be a better mood as it would bring new ideas to the front-office.
