The Toronto Blue Jays plan on making some big changes to their bullpen this off-season and with that, there will likely be quite a few relievers that will not be back in 2025.

The Blue Jays had one of the worst bullpens this season and as they look to seriously compete next year, they will need to make some drastic changes to it as many pitchers will likely not be returning.
Ryan Yabrough is an interesting situation because after being acquired from the Dodgers, he put up some decent numbers for the Blue Jays but since he is a free agent this winter, it comes down to will the Blue Jays make him an offer and will he sign it.
Yarbrough is set to become a free agent in a few weeks, and the Blue Jays seem to be interested in the swingman. -Delaney

Tommy Nance is another pitcher that will likely no be returning since he does not have any options left on his contract for 2025 and after a sloppy season he will likely be placed on waivers and head somewhere else.
However, Nance has no option years remaining in 2025, meaning he'll need to be designated for assignment if he doesn't make the roster out of Spring Training. With the Blue Jays wanting to contend in 2025, they'll need to rebuild their bullpen, and it doesn't seem likely Nance will be a part of that unless they can get him through waivers and allow him to pitch in Triple-A. -Delaney

Blue Jays likely not bringing back Zach Pop after Awful Season

Another pitcher that will likely not return is Zach Pop who cannot seem to figure it out in the majors and with no options left on his contract as well, he will likely end up on waivers as well.
Pop became a regular for the Jays in 2024, pitching 48.1 innings with a 5.59 ERA and a 5.53 FIP. Despite a fastball that sits in the mid-90s, he only struck out 15.8% of batters, often generating a ground ball instead, coming in with a 54.6 GB%.
The stuff is there, but Pop has no option years remaining and I fear he may be designated for assignment. -Delaney

Luis Frias and Brett de Geus will also be out this off-season as they both will likely be designated for assignment as they do not fit in the Blue Jays look term plans of improving their bullpen.
