Hurricane Milton damages at Tropicana Field will cost around 9 figures to fix
According to reports, analyst Jim Bowden announced this afternoon that to fix all the damages it will cost the Rays over $100 million and with the plans to move to a new park in the near future, they will likely not invest into fixing these issues.
Hurricane Milton damage to the roof at Tropicana Field is a bigger deal than most understand. It would cost 9 figures to replace and moving into new park in a few years doesn't make sense. #Rays can't play there with no draining system for rain. Where will they play in 2025?
Since the Rays will likely not fix these issues and their new stadium will not be ready in time for the 2025 season, many are wondering where the Rays will play next season.
The team clearly does not have a ton of options but since fixing the damages would cost so much money, it puts the Rays in a very tough spot when looking forward to next season as they no longer have a home.
Fans have been quite to reply online that the Rays should look at either playing out of Oakland or Montreal as both areas have a stadium ready to host an MLB team.
