Ricky Tiedemann projected by analyst to get first Blue Jays start soon

According to Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report, Tiedemann's accolades have been impressive so far in Triple-A, and that the Blue Jays could very well bring him up before the All-Star break. Back in 2021, the Blue Jays took the left-handed pitcher in the third round of the draft. However, he had some injury issues, and they decided to put him in the minors. Since that time, he has been grinding away out in Buffalo, and he has managed some solid starts.

As we reported earlier in the preseason, there was a chance that Tiedemann would make the Opening Day roster. In the end, the Blue Jays opted to put him in Buffalo. That said, if he can string some solid starts together, he will probably get his opportunity.

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins previously spoke about Tiedemann and his talents, with MLB.com. Atkins had nothing but praise for Tiedemann, and it is clear the Blue Jays think highly of him as a prospect.

For now, Blue Jays fans will have to wait for his development. Today, however, you can go watch the Blue Jays take on the Houston Astros. The game will start at 8:10 PM Eastern Standard Time, and will be broadcast on Sportsnet.
