The Blue Jays recently acquired outfielder Joey Loperfido from the Astros in the deal that saw Yusei Kikuchi go to Houston.
Loperfido was off to a solid start in his first few games but things have slowed down in a drastic way as of late. After last night, the 25 year old has now struck out in 18 of his last 37 appearances which equals to 48.7% and is 0 for 23 in his last 23 at bats.
While Loperfido is still very young and his current sample size with the Blue Jays is very small, these current numbers are quite terrible.
Hopefully, Loperfido will be able to work on his swing during the off-season and return to the Blue Jays next season ready to be a difference maker at the plate.
