The San Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim is set to hit free agency after the post season and it looks like he could end up signing in with the Toronto Blue Jays.

News broke yesterday that Kim has officially switched representation as he will now be represented by the Boras Corporation as the 29 year old enters free agency.
This move is because he will likely not be returning to the Padres and will test the free agency market.
Kim would be entering his first true free agency this winter as he looks for a new long term deal which he will likely get due to his incredible defensive game. The main worry seems to be that he is expected to have off-season surgery on is throwing arm which has teams worried.

With that being said, Kim's outlook in free agency grew quite a bit murkier last week when it was announced that the infielder is set to undergo shoulder surgery this offseason. With so much of Kim's value tied to his defensive value, the prospect of a major procedure on his throwing shoulder could worry some potential suitors this winter and may complicate a free agency that otherwise appeared to leave Kim in position to secure a strong multi-year guarantee. It's a somewhat unusual situation that Kim will now turn to the Boras Corporation, the agency run by high-profile agent Scott Boras, to navigate. -Deeds

The Blue Jays could benefit from having a player such as him in their infield as his defensive game is among the best in the MLB plus they definetely have the resources to make him a solid offer.
Insider Arden Zweilling believes the Blue Jays should make Kim a 6 year, $115 million offer in free agency.
Zwelling also mentioned that the Jays should pick up infielder Ha-Seong Kim in free agency on a six-year, $115 million deal. -Eng
