MLB insider Keegan Matheson confirmed the worst for the Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr as he believes 2025 will be Guerrero's last season in Toronto.
The Blue Jays have been surrounded by rumors regarding Vladimir Guerrero Jr over the last week after he stated that the team knows his exact number and that they have yet to make him the right offer.

During an interview on Sportsnet 590 this afternoon, MLB insider Keegan Matheson stated that he believes that 2025 will be Guerrero's last season in Toronto as the Blue Jays will not match his offer.
The good news is that Matheson thinks the Blue Jays will hold onto to Guerrero for the 2025 season to make one final push with this group and they will possibly try to land him in free agency next winter.
"This can't be about chasing the last Wild Card spot anymore."

This is unfortunate news because Guerrero has been such a massive part of the organization since he arrived and seeing him on a different team next season will be very strange to the fans.
The chances of the Blue Jays competing for Guerrero next off-season will be slim since they will probably get outbid and if not, Ross Atkins has likely burned a bridge with Guerrero by not making him an offer this winter.
This is a tough way to see Guerrero leave Toronto after such an incredible past 6 years.
