Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr has been surrounded by trade rumors ever since he announced that the Blue Jays contract offers have been way too low.
GM Ross Atkins has stated that he wants to get a deal done with Guerrero to keep hi in Toronto but with the front office aware of how much he wants and the team failing to make the right offer, it looks like he might actually be traded.
Possible trade offer between the Red Sox and Blue Jays for Vladimir Guerrero Jr
The Blue Jays seem to be headed down a path that will involve trading Guerrero this off-season as they seem unwilling to match the number he is looking for in his next contract.
In a YouTube video of possible Guerrero trades, content creator Jim Riley proposed that the Red Sox could acquire Guerrero for a package of designated hitter Masataka Yoshida, top prospect/utility player Kristian Campbell, relief pitcher Brennan Bernardino, and second baseman Vaughn Grissom. -Roberts
This would been the largest trade in the last 10 years easily as Guerrero is one of the best hitters in baseball and the Blue Jays would be getting a massive 5 player return in the trade.
"You know what really makes this work... is the number-24 overall prospect in all of baseball, (Kristian Campbell," Riley said. "Carries a ton of value, nearly $50 million that the Blue Jays are able to get by taking the Masataka Yoshida contract" -Riley
This trade could end up changing the Blue Jays organization for the next 10 years but getting rid of Guerrero will end up doing that regardless of the return Ross Atkins is able to get.
