Overall, the Toronto Blue Jays were close to being absolutely blown out by the New York Yankees, however, John Schneider got to watch his team battle back in epic fashion.

Yesterday, the Toronto Blue Jays gave Kevin Gausman the start against the Yankees. Unfortunately, it wasn't a particularly good game for him. In fact, one might call it a disaster. According to MLB Stats, he gave up five runs in just more than one inning. This led to Gausman getting pulled by manager John Schneider.
At one point, the Blue Jays were down by a score of 9-2. However, players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, and George Springer were able to pull it together and have some solid outings offensively. In fact, the final score was 9-8, which showcases just how hard the Blue Jays battled in this one.

Following the game, Schneider spoke to TSN about the game and how he was proud of his guys. It is easy to see why he would feel that way. However, a loss is a loss and the Blue Jays would have preferred a solid match from start to finish.
"I love the way they battled back."

Now, the Blue Jays have a record of 4-5. They will be playing against the New York Yankees today at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Overall, this is an important game for the Blue Jays as they want to get their record back to .500. If you are in Canada, you can catch this game over on Sportsnet.
