The Blue Jays signed Joey Votto in the of-season and despite being injured for the majority of the season, it looks like Toronto might finally bring him up.
Manager John Schneider told reporters yesterday that they signed Votto for a reason and if he is physically and mechanically ready, they will bring him up.
As for Joey Votto, who homered at AAA Sunday, Schneider said Blue Jays are open to promoting him if he's physically & mechanically right:
"You sign him for a reason ... I think you make room for him. And I think having a guy like him here within this clubhouse goes a long way."
Some fans do not agree with this since they believe that the Blue Jays should bring up a young prospect that could learn from some major league at bats instead of bringing up a 40 year old player in likely his last season.
