The Blue Jays DH Justin Turner has been one of the main players struggling immensely as of late at the plate despite starting the season on fire.

Turner signed a one year deal with the Blue Jays in the off-season and came out of the gate firing on all cylinders. However, in the last month Turner has been terrible at the plate, in last 8 games prior to last night, Turner has 1 hit in 32 at bats. To makes matters worse, in his last 19 games he is 11 for 71 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs. Turner was sick and missed some games due to illness but his struggles began long before he was hit with this bug.
Over the past 28 days, Turner's stats have fallen off of a cliff. It's easy to point to his illness as a reason for the decline, but a closer look reveals that his numbers had been dipping prior to him catching the bug. - Treuden

The 39 year-old was rumored to be on the trading block but with how he has been playing lately, it is hard to see who would want him.
The next move for the Blue Jays will have to be looking at replacing him in the lineup and since the team does not have many options for that, it may be time to call up Orelvis Martinez.
