The Toronto Blue Jays' Danny Jansen has been the best and most consistent hitter this season, and has taken the reigns as the MLB's most prolific offensive catcher.
The Blue Jays need more Danny Jansen (even if it's risky)
Since returning from injury, the 29-year-old catcher has been spectacular with the bat and behind the dish. He does this by knowing his strengths and weaknesses as a hitter better than anyone in the league. He doesn't try to be someone he's not, with this approach, he keeps it simple and naturally produces massive results.

All the players in the clubhouse and even his manager have taken notice of this fact.
"He's comfortable with who he is and what he does well,» manager John Schneider said prior to the Jays' 5-0 loss to the White Sox at the Rogers Centre on Tuesday night. "I told him where he was hitting and he kind of smirked and knew it was a good thing. He's at the point of his career where he's going to have his at-bats no matter what."
Out of all the Toronto Blue Jays, he has the third most hard-hit balls at a staggering percentage of 36.7%. It is one of the primary reasons for his success and as well the 5 long balls he has with only playing half-the games with an injury.
Jansen had this to say about his success:
"Think it's just what I learned about myself," said Jansen, who is eligible for free agency at the end of the season. "Just a little bit of freedom to stick to my strengths, having that approach and sticking with it."
The Blue Jays and especially the fans hope to re-sign the slugging catcher, as he has really come into his own and become one of the most feared offensive catchers in the game.
