During an interview last night, New York Yankees soon to be free agent Juan Soto made quite the statement regarding free agency that looks like good new for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Yankees blew a 5-0 lead in game 5 of the World Series last night as they basically handed the Dodgers their win with a historic collapse and right after the game, Soto was already speaking to reporters about free agency.

Not long after the Yankees lost the World Series to the Dodgers, Soto was standing in front of reporters answering questions regarding free agency in which he stated that all team have an equal opportunity at signing him and he will be taking a look at every offer.
Juan Soto on if the Yankees have an advantage in his free agency"

"I feel like every team has the same opportunities when I go into free agency. I don't want to say anyone has an advantage because at the end of the day we're gonna look at what they have & how much they want me"
Juan Soto was asked if he expects the Mets to go after him in free agency:

"I don't know what's the teams that are going to come after me. Definitely, I'll be open to this and every single team. I don't have any doors closed. I"m gonna be available for all 30 teams
Most Blue Jays fans thought Toronto had no chance is signing Soto this off-season but after his recent comments, it looks like he will be signing the best offer presented which points to exactly what the Blue Jays need to do if they want him to sign.
Despite many insiders believing the Yankees and the front runners to land him, the fact that he was speaking to the media about free agency so quickly after losing the World Series points to him likely signing elsewhere.
