The Toronto Blue Jays have a ton of holes to fill when free agency begins at the end of playoffs and a recent report revealed the checklist which includes bullpen and starting pitchers as well as at least one hitter.

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins has a busy off-season ahead as he will need to fix many problems from the 2024 season from terrible pitching in the starting rotation and bullpen to inconstant offense.

Blue Jays checklist from free agency revealed

The number one problem that needs to be solved seemed to be offense which the Blue Jays lacked this season and theere are plenty of options heading into free agency such as Juan Soto, Anthony Santander, Willy Adames, Teoscar Hernandez and many more.
That market is expected to include impact players such as first basemen Pete Alonso and Christian Walker, outfielders Teoscar Hernández, Tyler O'Neill and Jurickson Profar, shortstop Willy Adames, third baseman Alex Bregman and designated hitter/right fielder Anthony Santander. -Hall

Another issue that they will need to focus on is acquiring some help for their bullpen which was one of the worst in the MLB last season as they will look to free up some spots and signs some consistent relief pitchers which they need plenty of.
First and foremost, management needs to procure one, probably two, reliable high-leverage relievers. They could start atop the market with the top tier of Carlos Estévez and Tanner Scott. Or, perhaps drop down to the next one featuring Jeff Hoffman, Tommy Kahnle, Clay Holmes, Blake Treinen, Kirby Yates and former Blue Jays reliever Yimi Garca. -Hall

The Blue Jays have some solid starting pitchers but need to find a reliable options for their fifth spot in the starting rotation which he likely not be a massive name but if they are able to acquire a big time pitcher, they should definetely sign him.
Not as high as Corbin Burnes and Blake Snell territory or even the next tier down with Jack Flaherty, Max Fried and Luis Severino. But perhaps Toronto could test the waters on a mid-rotation group that includes Michael Wacha ($16-million player option), Frankie Montas ($20-million mutual option), Jose Quintana and former Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi. -hall

All these problems need to be dealt with and quickly, there is also getting an additional catcher that would be great but Atkins has stated that he does not plan on doing that.
