The Los Angeles Dodgers have just swept the New York Yankees to win the World Series for the 20th time in their teams history.

The Dodgers completely obliterated the Yankees in the World Series as it looked like New York should not even be there with their terrible performance throughout the entire series apart from game 4. The Yankees looked to win game 5 as well after an incredible start but ended blowing a 5-0 lead.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the 2024 World Series

Dodgers Freddie Freeman has been unbelievable in the World Series as he hit a walk off grand slam in game 1 followed by a homerun in game 2, game 3 and 4 leading the Dodgers to a World Series.
Freddie Freeman has now homered in six consecutive World Series games.
Yankees fans tried everything they could to help their team with a fan even trying to rip a foul ball out of Mookie Betts glove during game 4 but nothing could help their brutal performance.
A Yankees fan interfered with Mookie Betts trying to make a catch down the right-field line, grabbing his glove, ripping it open and ejecting the ball as he made the catch. The umpire ruled Gleyber Torres out on fan interference.
Safe to say these Yankees fans are headed for the exits
The fan that interfered with the Betts catch was thrown out of the game which fans saw a similar situation during game 3 of the World Series but from a Dodgers fan.
The Yankees did put up their biggest fight of the series in game 4 but it was ultimately not enough to get by the Dodgers.
Despite a solid push in game 5, the Yankees blew a 5-0 lead as the Dodgers won the World Series with an incredible comeback.
It looks like the Yankees have an incredible team but they are simply not good enough to be named the best team in baseball and will likely have to make some big moves in the off-season if they want to win next year.
