Former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder signs new contract

Former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Socrates Brito announced that he has signed a new contract with Aguila De Veracruz of the Mexican Baseball League.
This off-season, the free agent market has been flooded with former Blue Jays players some signing with MLB teams and others taking their elsewhere such as Brito did as he was unable to land an MLB contract.

Former Blue Jays outfielder Socrates Brito announced that he has left the Korean Baseball League and has signed a new contract with Aguila De Veracruz of the Mexican Baseball League for the 2025 season.

Brito has spent the last few seasons playing in the Korean Baseball League for the Kia Tigers but after winnings the Korean Championship last season, he has decided to go play in Mexico.
The Former Blue Jays outfielder last season in the MLB came in Toronto in 2019 when he played 17 games for them after being acquired in a trade from the Padres but did not last long after that.

After that Brito signed a minor league deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2020 and with the New York Yankees in 2021 which would be his final season playing in North America until this season.
Brito is only 32 years old but the chances of him making a comeback to the MLB are slim to none at this point.
