Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt has had a solid season overall thus far but lately has struggled a bit on the mound in areas where he did not before.
Bassitt spoke to reporters yesterday saying that he has changed up his technique a bit on the mound standing closer towards third base since it allows him to finish his pitches a lot more. He added that he made the change because batters around the league seemed to have figured out his game.
Asked Chris Bassitt whether he moved closer to the 3rd base side of the rubber.
«Yea, It was a big adjustment we made from the last start.»
Said it allowed him to finish off his pitches a lot more.
Bassitt felt the league had figured things out and «Something had to change»
Hopefully Bassitt is able to shake things up a bit but the changes seemed to have worked since he had a great game last outing despite the Blue Jays losing 6-3.
