Chris Bassitt led the Toronto Blue Jays to a huge win on Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners, making it two wins in a row for Major League Baseball's only team from Canada.

According to the Blue Jays, Bassitt had himself a phenomenal outing on Tuesday as he delivered eight strikeouts in just under seven innings. Furthermore, he only gave up one run during this time, on five hits. After losing his first two games, it was important for Bassitt to bounce back, and that is what he did. The final score was 5-3, as things got a bit dicey for the Blue Jays in the eighth inning.
Regardless, Bassitt played some inspired baseball and it ultimately inspired the offense to get on a roll. For instance, George Springer had two hits and two RBI. Meanwhile, Isiah Kiner-Falefa got himself a run and three hits after a horrendous start to the year. Lastly, Bo Bichette got his first home run of 2024, which was a huge factor in the Blue Jays getting this win.
"Bark AND Bite"
With Bassitt getting on a role and securing the win, the Blue Jays improved to 6-6 on the season. This is the first time all year that they have been able to win two games in a row. If they can add to the winning streak, they will break above .500 for the first time since their season opener against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Today, the Blue Jays are set to face the Seattle Mariners, yet again. The game is going to begin at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time, and it should be a fun one for all parties involved.
