Bo Bichette has struggled at times in the early going this season, however, on Tuesday night, he notched his first home run of 2024 against the Seattle Mariners.

Two days ago, the Blue Jays defeated the Mariners in their home opener. It was a massive win for them, but they ultimately needed to do more than that. Well, on Tuesday, they got some massive performances from their bats. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had three hits, George Springer had two RBI, while Bo Bichette had his first homer, according to MLB stats.
This helped propel the Blue Jays to an early 5-0 lead. Furthermore, the play from Chris Bassitt also helped tremendously as he gave up one run and struck out eight batters. As for Bichette, this could prove to be the confidence booster he needs. After a slow start to the year, sometimes, one home run can get you on a streak that just won't end. Only time will tell if that is the case.
"There it FLOWS. Bo's first of the season!"
This win was huge for the Toronto Blue Jays as it gave them their first positive streak of the season. As for the Mariners, they have now lost a total of three games in a row. The Blue Jays record is at 6-6, while the Mariners are now 4-8. With another win, the Blue Jays can get back above .500, while also going on a season-best three-game winning streak.
Today's game against the Mariners will begin at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time. If you want to watch the game in Canada, you will be able to do so over on Sportsnet. Additionally, you can stay tuned to Blue Jays Insider for the latest news and updates from around the baseball world.
