The Toronto Blue Jays have shown a ton of interest in free agent Anthony Santander and in a recent report, MLB insider Jim Bowden announce their projected offer.

The Blue Jays have been linked to multiple players this off-season that could improve their offense for next season which is why they have are interested in Teoscar Hernandez and Anthony Santander.

Jim Bowden announces the Blue Jays projected offer for Anthony Santander

The Blue Jays have been interested in a few offensive players that could help their hitting next season but MLB insider Jim Bowden believes that they are the top team to land Santander.
Bowden stated that he believes the Blue Jays will land Santander at $142 million over 6 years which would pay him an average salary of $23.66 million per season which is higher than most projections.
Bowden himself projected Santander for a six-year, $142 million contract, though other sites have estimated a much lower number. He's going to make a big payday, and other than dropping $150 million on George Springer four years ago, the Blue Jays have never gone that high for a free agent. -Roberts

The reason that the Blue Jays will have to go higher is because they will need to go over the expected value with top end free agents such as Santander if they want to sign him without having Vladimir Guerrero Jr locked down.
At the same time, paying Santander $23.66 million per season over the next 6 years does not seem to bad when they are currently paying George Springer $25 million per season and he was one of their worst players last season.
If the Blue Jays wants to avoid a full on rebuild and want to be competitive next season they do not have any choice but to make big time offers to free agents.
The Blue Jays, if they're serious about keeping this core intact, may just have to break the bank for Santander. The alternative could be a long, agonizing rebuild that no fan wants to endure.-Roberts

Unfortunately with where things are currently at in Toronto no free agent will come here unless he is getting a sizeable pay raise.
