Blue Jays will be getting a lottery pick in the MLB draft in 2025

The Toronto Blue Jays had an awful season this year but it looks like there might be a silver lining as they have a chance at the 1st overall pick in the 2025 MLB draft.
While the Blue Jays chances are not the highest, they still have a chance at landing the first overall pick and if not will likely end up with a top 5 pick in the 2025 MLB draft.
As a result, the Blue Jays are now in a position where they could potentially end up with the first overall pick in the 2025 draft. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you - you read that previous sentence correctly.
For the first time since the CBA was amended in 2022, the Blue Jays are in position to be a part of the MLB draft lottery. As much as no Blue Jays fan wants to be without postseason baseball in Toronto, perhaps there can be some solace in winning the 2025 first overall draft pick.

While the MLB is very different from most pro leagues like the NHL, NFL and NBA where having the 1st overall pick means having that player the following year as in the MLB it often takes players a lot longer to finally get called up to the majors.
Despite that, it would be great for the team's future if they are able to land a high draft pick at the 2025 MLB draft.
