The Toronto Blue Jays made a big announcement today that both general manager Ross Atkins and president Mark Shapiro will be speaking to the media on Wednesday.
The Blue Jays had an incredibly disappointing season this year as they missed the playoffs and spent the entire year trying to get back to a .500 winning percentage which they were never bale to achieve.
The team announced that surprisingly both Atkins and Shapiro will be meeting with the media on Wednesday to speak on their disaster of a season which surely reporters will not hold back on.
After missing the playoffs for the second time in five years, the Toronto Blue Jays will hold their annual end-of-season press conferences for president and CEO Mark Shapiro and general manager Ross Atkins on Wednesday, multiple reporters revealed, including MLB.com's Keegan Matheson. - Hall
Most fans will expect reporters to ask them hard hitting questions such as what does the team's future look like in regards to manager John Schneider and will he back back next season. Most believe Schneider will be back next season since Atkins and Shapiro do not seem to be going anywhere.
Following an underperforming season, where the Blue Jays finished 74-88, placing last in the AL East while missing the post-season by 12 games, one of the first questions that'll likely be asked is the status of manager John Schneider. As of now, the 44-year-old skipper - whose contract expires after next season - appears destined to return in 2025. -Hall
It will surely be an interesting press conference as Atkins and Shapiro are known for hiding from the difficult questions but at this point they will have no choice but to answer.
