Blue Jays were worried when catcher Danny Jansen was traded as he has been a major part of their team this season but Alejandro Kirk has more than risen to the occasion.
Since Jansen was traded to the Red Sox at the deadline, Kirk has been on fire at the plate for the Blue Jays with a .286 batting average, .360 OBP, .381 slugging percentage and .741 OPS.
While some may argue that Kirk is still not as good of a player as Jansen, he has more than stepped up his game as the Blue Jays have no choice but to solely rely on him for the rest of the season.
It will be interesting to see if management decides to keep their catcher situation as is for the 2025 season or if they decide to make some moves in the off-season.
