Bassitt gives shocking opinion regarding Vladimir Guerrero extension

Blue Jays fans have been wondering all season long if Toronto will sign Vladimir Guerrero to a contract extension as he has vocalized that he wants to stay in Toronto.
Pitcher Chris Bassitt had an interview yesterday in which he spoke on the situation stating that he believes the two parties will come to an agreement as they both want Guerrero to stay in Toronto. Bassitt did make one comment that surprised fans, stating that he does not think there is a rush to get a deal done since he is certain it will happen.
Bassitt on Vlad:
"I think Vladdy - I don't know this, I don't want to speak for him on this - I think Vladdy wants to be a Blue Jay for the rest of his career. I don't think he wants to leave. I don't think it's a super rush to get an extension done. ... I think both sides want to be together."

While fans are happy to hear Bassitt's opinion, they are still worried that he believes a deal will not get done any time soon since they do not want to continue to live with the stress that Guerrero might sign elsewhere.
