Spring training 2025 has begun and it appears that the Toronto Blue Jays batting order will remain uncertain as the team grapples with attempting to group players together to find offense.
Among the decisions the Blue Jays must make this spring is how to structure their batting order, and that goes beyond whether
George Springer remains the leadoff hitter or where new slugger
Anthony Santander best fits. (@ShiDavidi)
Manager John Schneider explained to reporters that it's likely the batting order will remain open as he and his team attempt to construct a batting order that will help generate runs even though the team was unable to acquire several key free agents.
Schneider remains open to where players will fit on batting order
It appears that George Springer who has been the leadoff hitter for the Blue Jays for the past few seasons may not be the case this year.
Some have suggested that maybe
Bo Bichette might be an option as leadoff hitter or will Wagner who has been the designated hitter As Blue Jays management has placed him there.
Didn't take long for Anthony Santander to become close with Bo and Davis
One thing is for certain, it's likely Schneider will place recently acquired Anthony Santander and
Vladimir Guerrero junior close together as the team is looking for a 1-2 punch to help with the offense.
The team also hopes that top prospect Orelvis Martinez will be ready to join the Blue Jays as the team will need to be creative in crafting offense.
Atkins will look for trades to help the lineup
Even though general manager Ross Atkins had a rather disappointing offseason in trying to land significant upgrades in his offence and out on the field, he mentioned that the team will continue to look for deals in the form of trade to help improve their chances.
Rumors continue to swirl around the
Chicago White Sox that the Toronto Blue Jays may look to acquire
Luis Robert Jr as the team has signaled that they're looking to make significant changes as the White Sox are considered the worst franchise in Major League Baseball history currently.
Learning from a legend at @BlueJays Spring Training
It remains to be seen on whether the Blue Jays would be willing to part with two of their best prospects as this is the return that the White Sox are expecting.
No matter the case, the Blue Jays will be an interesting team to watch and how they will be able to craft offence with their batting order as it appears uncertainty will be the word of Spring Training.
